Police in Bhainsa town acted swiftly after a government employee was allegedly assaulted while carrying official documents, preventing the incident from escalating into a larger law-and-order issue. The victim, Abdul Wakeel, works as a junior assistant in the Tanoor Mandal Revenue Office and was reportedly transporting official government files at the time of the attack.
According to reports, Wakeel was stopped by a group of individuals who questioned him about the files because they were wrapped in a saffron-colored cloth. What began as an argument quickly escalated into a physical confrontation. The victim was allegedly beaten and subjected to intimidation while performing official duties.
Considering the sensitive nature of the incident and Bhainsa’s history of communal tensions, police responded immediately to contain the situation and prevent any further escalation. Senior officers monitored developments closely and initiated an investigation.
Based on evidence gathered during the inquiry, police arrested four individuals identified as Raju, Prakash, Sai, and Polishetty. The accused were booked under relevant provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), including charges related to attempt to murder, criminal conspiracy, and promoting communal enmity.
Authorities emphasized that strict action would be taken against anyone attempting to disturb public peace or interfere with government officials performing their duties. The swift response by law enforcement helped maintain order and reassure residents.
The case remains under investigation, and police have appealed to the public to avoid spreading rumors and to cooperate with authorities while legal proceedings continue.
